Ohm’s Law

Ohm’s Law is a sculptural work about resistance and its opposite. Built from upright school pens arranged in rigid rows, the piece stages tension without release—an accumulation of potential held in place. There is no flow here, only pressure.

The title references the physical law where resistance emerges through the tension between two points. In this work, that tension is suspended, made visible through stillness. The materials evoke order, discipline, and standardization, tools of learning or control, while suggesting the fragility of that structure. A single ruler rests nearby, not as a guide, but as the instrument that could undo everything.
